My sweet baby girl turned 1 on the last day of 2010! Where has the time gone. We had some of our friends and family over for her party. I guess there were about 14 or so babies, and 25 adults?? It was chaos! I feel like it was a wedding and I didn't get to talk to anyone much, or eat any of the food. Oh well! I actually had to wake Libby for the party, and I think she was a little overwhelmed! I'll just put a collection of pictures on here. I'll have to give a huge shout out of thanks to Erin, Doty, and Sha. They were my unofficial party photographers and I've gotten so many awesome pictures from them. My mom did some too while Scott was handling the video. I haven't checked out his work yet--one of these days I'll get a free second. (some of these pics are also on my sisters blog---so if you want a double dose of Libby, go check them out!)
This was probably the one year that I'll really go "all out" since it's so monumental. Next year, it may just be her closest baby friends so Mommy can enjoy the party. ha! I'm not a huge fan of themes, but for Year 1-I felt like I had to do something special. My first birthday was Raggedy Anne and Andy, and my sorority mascot was also Raggedy Anne so it was a no-brainer. (Alpha Sigma Alpha in case you are wondering. We actually have 2 mascots, Raggedy Anne and ladybugs). I ended up having to make most of the stuff myself since it was hard to find. I bough party hats and noisemakers since it was a new years party too!
I do want to thank all of Libby's friends who celebrated with her. You made this day very special. Thank you for loving this little girl and being a part of her life, too. It was so nice to be surrounded by such wonderful family and friends.
