Holiday Greetings from my little white dog

SADLY.......the dogs won't be appearing on my christmas card this year. It was just toooooo difficult to get 2 dogs still, posed, and cute in a picture. I got Lucy to sit still for this picture (doesn't it look like she's smiling??) but wild man Wrigley was another story. So, I decided I'd post Little Lu's photo and send it out this way!

I'm just BUSY around here!!! Decorating, shopping, wrapping, did I mention work and the usual household tasks? Well.....took a little time out just to do something silly and built gingerbread houses. The side of the packages shows little KIDS making these things with ease (and great big smiles) but let me tell you...it's hard!! I'll say that's false advertising to the MAX!! The dogs stayed right underfoot to catch the crumbling, dried icing as it fell to the floor. Oh...and the candy included in the kits...it has to be fake, because it's certainly not edible! ha. Anyways, our creations turned out BEAUTIFUL I think!!

On Wrigley??? What fun are the holidays if you can't put your dog in some embarrassing headwear?? (Please note that I am not the only guilty party here....other people have been taking advantage of dogs....i don't want to name any names, but please see http://www.kenanderineverafter.blogspot.com/ during the month of November, I believe the entry is entitled "Big Turkey" for reference. ha ha ha) Lucy has figured out how to reach up and 'paw' stuff off her head now, so I have given up on her and moved on to the little one. She has served her time I suppose.

CRAZY BABY!!

So Erin and I were both online yesterday talking, and I sent her a picture of what her babies could potentially look like. I don't buy this at all, but the results were kinda amusing. Erin wanted a redo...as I don't think she like the fact her baby had a duck suit on...and got a scuba kid!! She had me do mine and Scott's.....first I got a crazy SPIKE haired little guy, and then MY redo produced a naughty looking blonde???? I had to double check to make sure I hadn't left either Erin or Ken's pictures! Ha. Enjoy....we did!....we'll see how accurate my duckie prediction is in a few months!! As for mine, REALLY enjoy the pictures....cause it will be a LONG WHILE.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

So the tree is up!! I'm excited! I spent all last night wrapping presents and now I have somewhere to put them. I bought all new ornaments this year, and a new tree. (my old tree was so short and shrimpy....perfect for apartment living when I was in college, but it looked so small in this house, I didn't even put it up last year!) I love the new tree! It's all snowy and icy. The dogs were pretty good while we put it up. You could tell Wrigley was curious as to what was going on, but didn't get too close. Here are the pictures!! ( I also put in a picture of my parents! I got to take their pictures today for their Christmas cards. I liked this one so I wanted to include it with these!)

Tahoe!

We got back late last night from a few days in Incline Village, Nevada. The tiny town is BEAUTIFUL. It's right on the shore of North Lake Tahoe.

Hair today...gone tomorrow....

Lame huh? I'm all tapped out of witty titles. Anyways, I decided to cut all my hair off. I cut off a whopping 12 inches. I was measuring it the other day, it is a minimum of 10 inches to donate it, and I was surprised it had gotten this long!

on my hair, that night I was ready to put my OWN hair to use. I decided to be Wednesday Addams. There aren't any pictures of my headless doll though!! Oh well. Here are a few pictures from the party at Heather and Joey's house that night.

It's a dogs world....

I've had a request for something new on my blog. Not much exciting is going on over here. The only new pictures I have are dogs in clothes! I know alot of people think that's crazy. I just do it for my own amusement. Lucy is a pretty good sport to let me dress her up. My mom bought Wrigley a tiny Halloween sweater. It's actually for a build-a-bear! ha. He looks so funny wearing it. Here's a sneak peek at Halloween costumes early. Wrigley is Hugh Hefner!! My little Playboy. He looks so cool in his little robe strutting around the house. I may try and sew bunny ears for Lucy!! (I need more hobbies!). I did put her in a Dorothy costume because it came with a wig and I HAD to see it on her. Needless to say, she stood like a statue once I strapped it to her. No amount of treats would have gotten her to move. Enjoy---Hope you get a good laugh.

Rick's Girls??

So Heather and I had a GREAT time at the fair this year. Last year we went and met Ingram Hill before they performed. This year, we went to the petting zoo, pigged out on FAIR FOOD and went to see Rick Springfield. I'll be honest with you. I only know one song. Jesse's Girl. The crowd there was primarily made up of ladies a little older than us, and seriously in LOVE with this man. We had a good time, but I don't think he's made our list of hot guys we dream about. Anywho, we still went backstage and had our picture made with him.

Okay, maybe not...I just like to try!

I just wanted to have a post on here that wasn't about my pups! And I looked back and saw that 2 out of 3 were! I thought I'd put a picture on here that I had found on the internet. It's good for a laugh. I think it's great. I didn't make it to ballet class today because I have some mysterious horrific bruise on my foot so I figured I should probably stay off it for that hour and a half. I'm already ready to go back next week.

Anyways, back to my point. I like this picture. I read somewhere about a study that was done that assigned points to sports ranking them on difficulty and all sorts of other aspects. In the end, football came in as the most difficult, but BALLET came in behind football in 2ND place by only one point! I know that plenty of guys would disagree with me, but I know plenty of dancers who would argue the opposite side. It's a tough sport/hobby...whatever. And at least in football, you don't have to wear a leotard.

Big Wrig

Things have been kinda crazy around here....or maybe I'm just a crummy blogger? Either way. I thought I'd post some new pics of Wrigley. I had to try his Cub's jersey on him the other night before one of his many baths (oh the joys of crating a dog that's not housebroken.....!!!) He's still a little guy weighing in at a whopping 5 pounds. It's up from the 3.2 that he weighed at his first vet visit. He's pretty fearless though. He thinks that Lucy's tail is his own personal chew tow and she can't reach him when he's clamped on back there. Poor girl! The other night he climbed allllll the way up the stairs while I was on the eliptical. Lucy and I were enjoying some time away from him and he snuck up on us! I never would have imagined he'd even try to climb them.

Speaking of Lucy.......my mom says that I have to include her picture on here. OF COURSE. I have a million. I took a recent one, it's probably not one of her better ones...but at least it's a new one. Sunday night we had my parents, sister and brother in law over for dinner (they are in town as they had to evacuate Galveston because of Ike). We took a picture and believe it or not...these two were actually laying right beside one another. I can't wait to see the picture because it will probably never happen again. ha. This is the closest that I've gotten them ON FILM!

Introducing.......

Wrigley!! There's a new dog in town. We have been PATIENTLY waiting to pick up this little guy and bring him home. We drove to Evening Shade, Arkansas after work yesterday and brought him back. He was born June 22 and we have been getting email pictures until we finally got to see the little guy. I'm so excited to have two Westies! Don't know how Lucy feels about this though!! We debated on a name for so long and most dog names seem so boring. We finally agreed on Wrigley one night. I was watching House Hunters and Scott was working overnight...I sent him a text message suggesting Wrigley, after Wrigley Field in Chicago. We went to Chicago back in April and had a great time. We went to a cubs game and I can't wait to go back. The couple on tv were looking at houses in the "Wrigleyville" area, and I thought it was way more original that Max or Sam or Spot. We'll see if it fits. It better.....he already has a little bitty cubs jersey!

Bahamas!

Okay! So, I've joined the Blog-Bandwagon and figured that vacation photos were the best way to start! I didn't put many on here. The best ones are from our day scuba diving. I'll put the link on here if you're

interested. My hair looks like a troll doll in the pictures the way it's standing straight up underwater. It was a fun time though. Vacation was wonderful.....I'm ready to go back. We loved the Bahamas. We laid on the beach, shopped, ATE, learned how to scuba dive and enjoyed 4 days away from work!

Here is the link to the scuba pictures! We dove 25 feet deep for about 30 minutes. We swam with fish above some coral reefs and then over a plane crash that was used in one of the Jaws movies i think! (I'll check on that.....)
