Libby and I went to the zoo today with our friends from FTM (our first time mom group). I took this when we first got there. By the time we left, she was snoozin in her stroller. It was a nice day with an occasional breeze...but I'm just not one for hot weather. I'm dreading the upcoming summer since I know it's gonna be so sweltering. Poor Libby has super fair skin just like me (as a little bitty baby it looked more olive-y. It's definitely lightened now and I recognize the 'porcelain' color like my own. That's the positive spin I put on being this white. One of these days PALE will be the new tan though! ha.) I call myself the "sunscreen queen" because I obsess over reapplying it. NOTHING is worse than a sunburn. Of course Libby is only 4 months old so I tried to just keep her pretty shaded since it's not recommended to use sunscreen until 6 months. I did put some on her pudgy little legs though because my paranoia got the best of me. I can't imagine dealing with a sunburned baby!Anyways....we had a good time. Lots of children there! It was good to see all our baby friends and their mommies.
After we left we went to Honey's school and visited some of her sweet friends, too. They always make over Libby and are so sweet to her. I'm gonna put these ladies to work who keep offering to watch her though!
Granddad stopped by the house for a few minutes too! So we got to see everyone today! Libby took a snooze in his arms after trying to take a bottle with her stuffy nose. She really struggles with bottles and pacifiers when she's congested and it's so pitiful to watch!! I'm so ready for her to be Happy and Well!! I think Libby would have slept in Granddad's lap the rest of the evening if we'd let her. She was pretty comfortable there!
Tomorrow we are having more pictures made! Exciting! All our tummy time practice will be put to the test!!
