Happy Mother's Day!

Splish Splash

Libby and I have our own pool! If we keep the temperature on the hot tub low, it's PERFECT for the two of us, and a baby float!! It's actually really great. Mommy has a seat (and a massage) and there's a stereo system built in. We had a great time today floating around.

First Day of Spring!

Yippee!! No more SNOW! Spring is HERE!!

We went to the park for a picnic lunch since it was BEAUTIFUL weather out! We even managed to play a little!! Daddy had to help on the slides. They were dirty, so he "slid" them clean first--then, he slid Libby down a few times since she was a little unsure.

The park didn't have any baby swings. BOO!! So, Libby got to swing in our laps. It's not easy to swing with 20 extra (precious) pounds! We took turns seeing how high we could go while the other was holding her.

I won!! Scott didn't take my picture because he was so amazed, so I'll just leave you with his outrageous height.

Playdate!

Libby and her baby friend Scarlett had some playtime! These 2 are so much fun to watch! Scarlett is FASCINATED with other babies and Libby is so busy with all HER toys! Both girls LOVED the babies they saw in the mirrors. Neither one appreciated my attempts to stop their playtime for photos!

These Days!

What Libby's Up to at 14 months old
-You are an excellent walker (first steps were on her birthday, a few hours after her party-only her PawPaw and I saw her. She just non-chalantly started walking a week later as if she'd done it all her life)
-You eat 3 big meals a day
-You LOVE raisins, macaroni, bananas, hotdogs,sweet potato fries, pancakes, fruit, corn, yogurt, crackers, and any food mommy and daddy have.
-You still protest meat, veggies, spaghetti and cheerios
-You LOVE your MILK! You only stop to catch your breath because you have to
-You hate your squeaky shoes
-You've been drooling like crazy, teething, getting your molars. You still just have 8 teeth though. You LOVE to brush them.
-You know what to do with the hair brush
-You know how to blow your nose and think it's hilarious
-You have a few new words but still like the old ones: you say Daddy instead of Dada now. You always say Mama when you're upset, Baby is your FAVORITE work, uh-oh spaghotti-o (this comes out "sketo"), happy, woof-woof (when you see any animal, or the dogs-or if you hear them), hi baby, You and daddy have a language all your own too.
-You love to spin in circles and make yourself dizzy
-You love to dance to music
-You love to interact more with other little kids. You run up and say "hi" and wave in their face.
-You are getting less clingy to Mommy, more willing to explore
-You love to give hugs, especially when you are tired
-You have flown 10 times, and NEVER been a problem on a plane! This last trip you put on quite a show! Blowing kisses. Waving! You were encouraged by other passengers though!
-You still are a GREAT sleeper! 6 pm bedtime! 7 am you get up!
-You stayed successfully in the nursery at the gym! Mommy was very proud
-You had your first haircut 2/26/2011 You enjoyed it! No tears! You also got your first sucker as a result! You did great with this too!!
-You are very very loved!

First Haircut!!

Libby's hair has gotten so long and shaggy, I decided it was time! Her 1st haircut! Check out, how long these bangs are! AHHH! The back was down her neck, but NOT even length. I wanna grow her bangs to the side, but i prefer they not look so unkempt in the process!

Yikes! Trim this MOP!

Miss Annie (Honey's stylist) took care of Libby's 1st haircut! Mommy came prepared with 3 of her favorite toys, 2 suckers (we've never tried these!), a sippy, videos on my blackberry, and goldfish crackers! Honey even brought a packet of craisins! Surprise---we needed NONE of them! Libby was PERFECT! She just waved at other customers and herself in the mirror. She wiggled a little trying to see the scissors, and kept pulling at her hair after it had been cut. Guess she was just checking Miss Annie's work. She got frustrated with her arm under the drape, so Mommy had to get it out so she could wave and say hi to everyone. Whew.
