This girl is a hoot!

On a lunch date with one of her boyfriends....Grif.....so cute.....I love the handholding....

Libby CRACKS me up. She is growing up so fast. At 7+ months she has quite a personality. She shakes her head "no" totally not understanding what she's doing, but just knowing that she gets quite a reaction out of mommy. Of course when she does it, I have to quiz her with questions....."Oh really...You didn't like that?", "Are you a good Mommy to your babydoll Libby?", "Is Wrigley a good puppydog?" "Do these jeans make Mommy look fat?" ha ha ha.....

She's figured out when you unsnap her carseat, to wiggle her arms out of the straps and really does it quick! She loves to pat! She'll pat your leg, your shoulder, your face, the dogs-very sweet. She thinks the dogs are HILARIOUS!! She has a definite preference in dogs! Lucy is her FAVORITE. She likes Wrigley (because he lets her pulls his hair until he doggie screams ***a disclaimer:I am superparanoid about animals and kids. I do not ever leave them alone or without us right there with them. I don't let her touch them with their mouths pointed near her in case they decide to suddenly 'turn'. Better safe than sorry****) and she doesn't even acknowledge Snickers (sorry Erin-I guess she's color blind to black and tan doggies?). She still LOVES to jump. On my leg, in my arms, in her highchair, in the jumperoo (best money ever spent)....the child isn't gonna walk....she's gonna bounce.

We are really close to crawling even though I really did think we'd bypass it (kinda like we passed the rolling for sitting at 4.5 months). I'm totally ok with being a late walker Libby......Mommy's not ready to chase you down.

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of a tootbrush from Special K (aka Unkie Ken). Our favorite dental family jokingly said they feel the need to provide her first oral care instruments since we finally have TWO TEETH!!! HOORAY!! I'll tell ya....Teething is TOUGH! Whew....I was thrilled when I saw those tiny white chompers. Whoo hoo! I can't wait til we have all our teeth and I'm dreading the days when they start falling out as a big girl because I think kids look crazy weird without them!! It's weird enough getting used to this tiny girl with them!

Libby has started messing with her sippy cups and drinking water from one here and there. So big!! Sigh! She eats baby food 3 times a day!!! where's my little tiny baby??

She's starting to figure out "reaching" for me.....even my Mom commented how close she is. That's gonna melt my heart just about as much as the first time I heard Mama (pitiful as it was with her little cries!....but I have witnesses!!!)

Okay...enough rambling...

Splish Splash...I was taking a bath....

We're a little behind.....

So...I've been a little busy....between work, and groups, and birthday parties galore, Libby and I hardly have a free second! While Honey and Granddad were in Hawaii we spent most of the week at their house (with all 3 puppy dogs!!! ahhh!!). We decided to try a bath in the sink since the baby bathtub was making a real big mess. Plus, Libby HATES reclining in it. She prefers to stand ALL THE TIME, so I guess we'll just bypass bubble baths altogether and go right on to taking showers? ha.

OH! The sink bath was kind of a fail....she LOVED it...but we ended up washing down Honey and G-Daddy's kitchen and washing Mommy's clothes pretty good. Splashing is just sooo fun!

We love Sugar.....or Melmo.........

I was playing video clips on Sugar's blog for Libby (which she LOVES) and she gets the BIGGEST smiles on her face. I don't know if it's because of the babies, Erin's voice or the computer. Maybe all three. Anyways, she starts bouncing and hopping and smacking the keyboard. She must love her some Aunt Sugar!! We sure do miss you guys!! Maybe it's Melmo that she loves...because we sure do get a kick out of the dancing one at Honey & G-daddy's house. Again....it's a grainy video, but in the moment---I thought it might make Erin's day!

sorry this is so grainy. all i had handy was the cell phone and i knew if i took a chance to locate a camera--Libby would lose all interest in her cute trick. Anyways.....just thought it was funny. This head-shaking is what made us have the enormous wrap around bald spot. She used to do this on her crib sheets. Good thing she's a sitter now, as the hair is finally growing in

*in case you can't hear the audio.... (thank your lucky stars cause my voice is worse that nails on a chalkboard)....I asked Libby if she "missed Honey" (who is enjoying the Hawaiian sunshine right now) and if she was a good girl. You can see that she got at least one answer right.

Jump for joy!

One of Libby's FAVORITE things to do is jump. She will jump in your lap, in her highchair, in the bath....anywhere. She even tried to bounce when I let her ride in the top portion of the basket at the grocery. I hope the Jumperoo is well made because we really give it a run for it's money these days.

Happy Independence Day!!

This 2nd picture cracks me up. Libby has always HATED being on her tummy, so just as soon as she realized she could sit up--she did. Now, she has realized that she can stand, so she never wants to sit anymore. She's standing in this picture, but I couldn't turn loose of her hand to get a full body shot since she's NOT that good yet! ha. I do like her little hand on her hip as if she's saying "Mommy...I've got this!"

Hope you had a great 4th of July! Libby got her first taste of Watermelon. She gave it 2 very sticky thumbs up!
