Libby is 4 months old!

Libby hit the big 4 month mark last week!! Here are some photos from that day! She had her checkup at the doctor yesterday and here are the stats!

She weighs 14.3 lbs. This is the 75th percentile for weight. She is 24 inches long-the 50th percentile for height. Her head is in the 25th percentile. Her doctor said she's just perfect, and I have to agree. We're right on track. The only things she isn't interested in are rolling over (because she'd have to be on her tummy and we HATE that!) and cereal. He checked some of her reflexes and said that the rolling thing was no problem at all. He said she'd probably sit before she rolls based on the way she's trying to pull up when lying down. Why be typical right? He said she doesn't have to eat cereal if she doesn't like it and could move onto bananas if Mommy wanted. We gave them a try last night and Libby liked them MUCH better! We've still got a long way to go on mastering the spoon...but 4 months is still kinda little to do much more than a bottle!

All babies need love...

Poor baby Libby has her first ear infection. I knew she hasn't been herself the past few days so she went to her pediatrician Tuesday and got the diagnosis. She's on antibiotics now which are making her little tummy feel rough! It is TOUGH being a baby!! We didn't go to church today as I thought she really needed to stay home. She sleeps from 7 pm to 6 am, but since this earache started she is getting up once a night for a bottle and needing to be held and loved on. She wakes up crying and upset but turns on the charm once she sees me! I hope we get back on our good sleep routine pretty soon! I like the sweet girl that wakes up jabbering at 6 am!! So far today, we are both still in our pjs. She is snoozing with her baby doll for a much needed morning nap. We miss all our baby friends at church, but Libby really just wanted to be held. I let her hold her baby doll for a little while too! She ended up just licking her face-ha! Her doctor said she has started teething (joy!) but this wasn't a huge surprise as she drools like crazy and always puts her fists, fingers, bibs or burp cloths in her mouth.




Pajama days are pretty fun...especially with bunny slippers!!

Happy EASTER!!

We have had a busy weekend! Libby and I went to the Jacobs' house Saturday for their Easter Egg hunt. The little stinker slept the entire time, but Mommy had a good time visiting and seeing all of Libby's baby friends. Afterwards, we met up with Skeet, Honey and Granddad at one of their favorite Mexican joints for dinner. We left there at Libby's bedtime and got her home, and into her pjs. Mommy did help her put out some carrots for the Easter Bunny however. (Daddy was a little confused as he was gonna leave them out.....)





Libby slept really well!! She slept from 7 pm to 5 am!! What a big girl! We went to church bright and early at 8 o'clock so she was up and ready to go when her grandparents came over. This was the first time Libby has gone to church. Mommy has been nervous to take her since she was so easily upset as a little baby with colic and reflux. Now she is such a happy girl, it seems much easier. We are gonna start using the nursery, but today was a big day...one step at a time!

The Easter Bunny Did come!!! Look at my basket!! Honey and Granddad asked if they could buy me my own monogrammed basket since they bought Mattie and Hailey their own last year. It has my name and bunnies on it. I LOVE IT!! Mommy said the easter bunny picked out all sorts of special things for me (and had lots of fun doing it). I got a floor/crib mirror that is shaped like a lion. My mommy has looked all over for a special mirror to make my tummy time more fun. I got some new bibs to keep my clothes clean. I got an 80's lullaby cd, a book about ducks, some super stylish sunglasses, my OWN enclosure cards with my name on them and a handmade stuffed bunny made by my mommy!!

Sunday afternoon, we had company when Noel stopped by to visit. Libby relaxed in his lap and watched tv for awhile until she got sleepy and went to lay down for a nap! It was good to catch up and can't wait until we can see his sweet wife too. Quite a busy weekend.

We aren't Cheeri-o over cereal!!

Sooo.....being that Libby had some reflux her doctor wanted her on cereal before her 4 month visit (she is 3 months old) to just have some food on her tummy. I gave it to her at about 10 weeks in her bottle and stopped after she was sleeping like a champ since she didn't need the extra calories. I was gonna hold off until she could sit up and eat it off a spoon. Today was the day to give it a try since she sat on the couch with me for a long time just mimicking all the noises I'd make and jabbering. She seemed to be in a willing mood! ha ha. I ruined that!!




Hmmm.....I suspect something is up. I usually don't sit on the counter for my goodnight bottle! I much prefer it in my Mommy's arms! Looking a little bit skeptical....

Really Mom??? What the heck? ackkk....this stuff is gross...

Oh...no...there is more....???? ew....not even the pretty pink spoon can hide the nasty taste of RICE CEREAL!!!!

I TRIED...I CAN'T BE A BIG GIRL....I'M A BABY!!

THE GAG REFLEX MOM...where is that on the milestone list??? (seriously, this was maybe a tablespoonful total)

Obviously, she got her bottle and gave me the evil eye the rest of the night. I can't wait to see what happens with baby food months from now!! Should be entertaining.

April 1 and a clean baby girl!! No foolin!

I'm getting so big!! 10 weeks old!!

Libby LOVES the bright colors of the tv! This was a side view of her catching up on her scandals and gossip during Inside Edition.

A few giggles and grins....(mainly an annoying mommy....i never realized how much Erin and I sound alike....and not the annoying part! ha!)

This is not a very entertaining video (unless you consider my antics to try and get reactions out of my sweet baby). She is her most personable in the middle of the night between the hours of 3 and 4...so it has not been caught on video. Apparently, it's the Mommy Comedy Hour happening in Libby's Room at that time that really gets her going. It starts on the changing table and once I get situated with a bottle, I can hardly get the darn thing in her mouth for the talking/jabbering/laughing/grinning she wants to do. I can't complain! I LOVE the little personality that is developing bit by bit in this tiny little girl. She HAS MY HEART!

Texas Twins!

Libby had her first plane ride to Texas to visit her ADORABLE cousins. i was a nervous wreck during the flight hoping she wouldn't be a screamer...and she was great. Slept the whole way once her tummy was full. WHEW! Looks like she's a traveler!

Erin's sweet girls are just wonderful. I have to cutest nieces on the planet. Here they are checking Libby out before our walk around the neighborhood.

Libby wore her best outfit and bow (a gift from our sweet friend Heather) to impress her stylish cousins.

Oh! I forgot to mention that she got her SHOTS at the doctor the morning of the flight. It was AWFUL. Very little would console her after them, which made for a very distraught Mommy. I'm dreading putting her through that again...but I know its for her own good. Libby wore her pink scrubs that Honey bought her for Christmas. She wanted to be "professional" at the Doctor's office. The nurses thought it was a hoot.
